What’s in a name?

“I remember leaning on the fence of our Cheshire dairy farm with my father, surveying the strange double lines that had appeared in a neighbour’s barley. It must have been about 1974.

“Tramlines,” said Dad. “Meant to direct the machinery. Look like a waste of time to me, and a waste of fertile land”.

By the following year, we were doing it too: my first observation of innovation driving change in agriculture.”

We help companies source development capital. Tramlines also provides capital for our top projects via our own balance sheet, typically in the form of convertible loans starting at £1m.
